We had our four-month checkup yesterday. The girls are finally meeting the standards for a "normal" four-month-old (since they were preemies, we've been playing catchup). The doctor said everything else looks good. But he did about laugh us out of the room when we (read: me) asked if we should be waking them overnight because I think they are sleeping too long. Apparently we should just be thanking our lucky stars.

Did you really ask that?!?!
I don't have kids, but i have a lot of friends who do. And the one thing I've been told is they never get more than a couple hours sleep at a time...
I can understand based on that why he/she might have laughed at you!! :)
Of course...I'm totally gonna be the mom with her kids on a leash at walmart...so I won't judge you too harshly!
I really did. I'm a worrier. It's what I do. And I have those friends whose kiddos don't sleep through the night, too. Which is actually what caused the worrying. Everyone else I know whose kids are older are still waking up at 3 a.m. And we're sleeping 12 hours!!
Well I hope that they continue to sleep well so you can be rested and alert and at peace when they are all awake and crazy!!
I worry a lot too and all I have to worry about right now is me me me...oh Lordy parenthood will be an interesting trip for me!
The girls look wonderful so it looks to me (from far and away in KC) like you guys are doing a great job :)
I really get why you asked that, but girl, you are so lucky! I sure wish I could sleep like that. Glad your daughters are doing so well. That's what we love to hear.
